Home.

So, Im back home now!
Racing in the UK was such a great experience.
I ended up finishing 20th out of 27 at the TKM Festival.
I learned alot and met tons of new people.
Karting is much different across the ocean and it opens your eyes.
Im glad I was able to take part in this.
Id like to thank everyone who helped make my trip.

TKM Festival

In about three days, I will be leaving for the TKM Festival. It is a 3 day event, kind of like the WCC. The entire event is covered by Sky Sports, broadcasting it on TV. It is being held at Whilton Mill Kart Track which has recently had some track changes. I am really excited, but also nervous. The fields are expected to be around 30 per class! We recieved letters with instructions for the event. To me, this is so weird because we would never have something like this. If you would like to check it out, search up Whilton Mill Kart Club and click on the TKM Festival link.
Updates on how things went to come!

Camping and Oakwood.

This past weekend, I went camping with the Latcham family. We had a great time! Some of them went fishing and what not. It was a caravan site, right on the coast of the Irish Sea. I have never seen something so beautiful in my life! On the Saturday we went karting at the little place down the road. The girls dominated, winning both times we went out! Those karts were crazy to drive, but it was a good time. On Sunday we drove to the theme park, Oakwood. I went on all sorts of rides and everyone had fun. I have so many pictures, but I cant really put them on here, so I'll set something up!

F6 Clay Pigeon Race

Well I didnt do horrible.
But I dont think I stayed on the track the entire time for any of the heats.
I started 16th, last in the first heat and finished 14th.
In the second heat I started on pole, but quickly got passed by the quicker racers and ended up just outside the top 10.
My starting position for the third heat was 8th.
I did not finish this heat as myself and another driver were binned on the first lap.
I managed to start 15th for the final.
After having a quick date with the tire wall, I was back on track and on a mission.
I was probably a good 5 seconds back from the kart infront of me.
The race was almost half over and I had to put my head down.
I caught the driver infront of me, passed him and drove away for a strong finish.
Clay Pigeon was a much better weekend than Llandow, but I still have lots of room for improvement.
I am just getting used to the kart and the rocks they call tires.
Hope to do well at the TKM Festival in early August.

Congrats to everyone at the WCC.

Cardiff Central.

Today we went on a tour around Cardiff, Wales.
It was a good time and the city is quite beautiful.
I took a lot of pictures and we also went to their grandparents bike shop.
Finally is was really hot out today, I loved it.
On Friday morning we are leaving for Clay Pigeon for testing.

My First Race.

Today was my first race.
During practice I got nudged and I smashed into the tire wall.
My nasa panel was destroyed, tire rod bent and spindel bent as well.
Sadly, we couldnt get the kart together to make the first heat but we managed to make the second heat.
As I am still getting used to the track, and these hard Maxxis tires; I spun twice.
I finished last, but ended up improving in the third heat.
I beat the two strokes and went 5 tenths faster.
We made a front end adjustment for the final which I didn't like.
I ended up 5th in TKM 4S.
We hope to just keep improving.

Im here, finally!

So, I am finally in Wales.
I arrived at the London Gatwick airport yesterday morning at 6.
As we were driving back to Cardiff, Wales we got a flat tire.
Once we were about 2 miles from their house, the cops pulled us over.
Eveything was fine and we drove home.
I slept about 13 hours and Im feeling alright!
It alreay rained, and its really cloudy.
I have to say, it is quite nic here.
My first race is on Sunday and I'll be testing on Saturday!
Hope everyone is having a good time back in Calgary.
