F6 Clay Pigeon Race

Well I didnt do horrible.
But I dont think I stayed on the track the entire time for any of the heats.
I started 16th, last in the first heat and finished 14th.
In the second heat I started on pole, but quickly got passed by the quicker racers and ended up just outside the top 10.
My starting position for the third heat was 8th.
I did not finish this heat as myself and another driver were binned on the first lap.
I managed to start 15th for the final.
After having a quick date with the tire wall, I was back on track and on a mission.
I was probably a good 5 seconds back from the kart infront of me.
The race was almost half over and I had to put my head down.
I caught the driver infront of me, passed him and drove away for a strong finish.
Clay Pigeon was a much better weekend than Llandow, but I still have lots of room for improvement.
I am just getting used to the kart and the rocks they call tires.
Hope to do well at the TKM Festival in early August.

Congrats to everyone at the WCC.

Just remember keep it on the track at ALL costs. The tires are hard but you need to work them quickly. If you are able to do any testing try playing with different pressures I always set mine at between 22-24 psi whilst other people set theirs at 12-14 psi.Mine always came straight in but went off towards the end of the race but by that time I was at the front. Keep your vision up as we have talked about and if you have to give a place to stay on the track give it!
Good luck in the Festival STAY OUT OF TROUBLE.

AWESOME to read along as you race and tour England. Hope you aren't too homesick. We never went to the third leg of the WCC... too much other stuff going on! Wishing you luck and love... Cheryl
